School Closure Notice

Maple Leaf World School - KPU has made the difficult decision to close operations in July 2024. School services will continue for enrolled students until the end of June to ensure classes finish as originally planned within the 2023-2024 school calendar.    The school is committed to working with representatives from the BC Ministry of Education to ensure that strong transition plans are in place for effected students.  Our focus is to help minimize the impact this decision has on our student, parent, and staff community.

MLWS-KPU is grateful for the outstanding work done by its community of staff over the many successful years of operations.  We also express gratitude for the strong working relationship Maple Leaf Education North America Ltd. and Kwantlen Polytechnic University have enjoyed since the school was founded in 2017.  This partnership allowed hundreds of young international students to grow as individuals, experience Canadian culture, and successfully complete their high school graduation requirements in a welcoming environment.

Facilities

Through its partnership with Kwantlen Polytechnic University, the school provides an optimal environment for learning and teaching. Our facilities share cafeteria, library, and science lab space with the university to offer a globally recognized curriculum that inspires students to outperform.  The school’s learning environment includes small classes and welcoming recreational spaces. Students receive access to an Olympic designed sport facility which can be used both during and outside of school hours. The school enjoys a quiet location within the university where students are safe and supervised.
